Prices are per person, from, for the 2026 to 2027 season. Per day is a comparison aid, not how the trip is billed. Every itinerary is tailor-made and quoted individually.
North of Bariloche the road is paved, the lakes are close together and a good day is a hundred kilometres. South of Perito Moreno it is gravel, wind and three hundred kilometres between fuel stops. Both are Ruta 40 and both are called a Patagonian road trip, so it is worth knowing which one you are picturing before you choose.
The Seven Lakes road runs about a hundred and ten kilometres between Villa La Angostura and San Martín de los Andes, paved the whole way, through forest and past water almost continuously. It is the drive to do if the driving itself is the point.
Short and green
Between El Calafate and El Chálten the road crosses steppe with nothing on it, and that emptiness is what people come back talking about. It is also why the southern itineraries are longer: the driving days are real days.
Long and empty
Patagonian wind runs hardest from November to February, which is also high season. It affects fuel, timing and whether the small crossings are open. Our routes are driven rather than self drive, which is mostly a decision about that.
Plan around it
The country-wide picture is at Argentina road trips, the same region on two wheels at Patagonia motorcycle tours, and the long overland crossings at Patagonia overland.

Every quote we send lists this in writing, trip by trip. As a rule, this is how a Patagonia package is built.
Hotels selected and checked by our team; private transfers between airports, hotels and excursions; excursions with English-speaking local guides; entrance fees to Los Glaciares and Tierra del Fuego national parks; daily breakfast and the meals marked day by day; a local WhatsApp support line for the whole trip.
International flights to and from Argentina; travel insurance; meals not marked in the itinerary; personal expenses and gratuities; optional activities, which we price in writing beforehand. Domestic flights inside Patagonia are quoted separately or included depending on the package, and your quote states which, with the amount, so the total is clear before you book.
Patagonian wind changes plans, and we plan for it. Every key day has a same-region backup: if the wind closes the glacier boat, you see Perito Moreno from the walkways instead; if the Fitz Roy viewpoint is in cloud, we swap days inside your itinerary. Wherever the schedule allows, we rebook the highlight inside your trip at no extra cost.
