Upon arrival at the airport in Tierra del Fuego, our guide will accompany you to the hotel in this new city. Ushuaia, the southernmost city of the continent, is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel. You can take advantage of this day to walk along the promenade and, if you wish, extend the tour a little further to walk around Encerrada Bay and its Nature Reserve. We recommend you to hire a navigation through the waters of the Beagle Channel. Among the various options, we recommend a visit to Martillo Island to observe a natural reserve of penguins.
This day we will visit the Emerald Lagoon. We will start with a beautiful hike on the island of Tierra del Fuego. This is a moderate hike that will take us through wonderful landscapes formed by the Fuegian Forest and the typical vegetation of the area. In addition, the incredible views offered by the hills of the area, will give the ideal frame to enjoy the day with landscapes and views of mountains and glaciers around. This hike takes approximately 6 hours. On the way back you will have time to continue enjoying Ushuaia.
We will start our 4x4 adventure on our way to Lake Fagnano, one of the largest and most important lakes in Argentina. Throughout this 4x4 excursion, we will cross the Fuegian Forest in a circuit specially designed for this activity, with obstacles and terrains that can only be accessed with adapted vehicles. Finally we will reach the shores of the lake and the post where we will stop for rest and lunch. There we will enjoy a delicious traditional barbecue in a totally warm and informal atmosphere, and in the afternoon, depending on the weather, you can enjoy a short canoe ride. Return to Ushuaia in the afternoon.
Breakfast at the hotel. This day will be totally different and surprising. We will go on an excursion to the East crossing the Garibaldi Pass to reach our first stop in Tolhuin. Then we will head towards the coast of the Atlantic Ocean until we reach Cabo San Pablo where we will have the chance to visit a family of fishermen, who will prepare an incredible lunch for us. Also during the tour, we will visit a typical Patagonian sheep ranch where the family will show us how they work and their particularities. The finishing touch will be the impressive image of the Desdemona and its history. A ship, which after running aground on the shores of Cabo San Pablo, has remained in this place as part of the landscape. Return to Ushuaia.
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for optional activities and to continue exploring the island. According to your itinerary, our guide will accompany you to the airport for your next flight. This itinerary can be combined with any other destination in Argentina. Feel free to extend your trip and continue enjoying this beautiful country.
