Established in 1960 to preserve the southernmost region of forests along the Beagle Channel, Tierra del Fuego National Park covers nearly 69,000 hectares.
Despite being one of the most popular excursions, we offer a unique experience: guiding our visitors in small groups along quiet trails and hidden corners of the forest. We depart from Ushuaia along National Route 3 and stop at a panoramic viewpoint of the Beagle Channel.
Then, we entered the Tierra del Fuego National Park and began our walk to the Lapataia Viewpoint. During our tours, we explore trails in this exceptional environment. We offer both morning and afternoon departures, with a duration of approximately 5 hours each. At the end of this half-day hiking experience, you'll have a full understanding of the peculiarities of this ecosystem.
In the afternoon, we set sail from the Ushuaia tourist pier, crossing the Bay of Ushuaia to enter the Beagle Channel via Paso Chico. Our journey includes sailing around Bird Island to observe a variety of Fuegian birds such as Skúas, Black-browed Albatrosses, and Steam Ducks, before approaching Wolf Island to see sea lions.
We also visit the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, where we can spot colonies of Imperial and Rock Cormorants while learning about the sinking of the SS Monte Cervantes in 1930. The trip features a stop at Puerto Karelo for a guided walk to view Yámanas shells and take photographs from a scenic viewpoint.
Ultimately, you'll be captivated by the breathtaking mountain range surrounding Ushuaia and the rich history and stunning landscapes along the way, making this adventure with Canoero Catamarans an unforgettable experience.
