The amount of time you need to visit each side of Iguazu Falls depends on the type of visit you want to have. A quick visit: If you're looking to see the main highlights of the falls and only have a short time to spend, you can plan to spend around 2-3 hours on the Argentine side and 2-3 hours on the Brazilian side of the falls. A more in-depth visit: If you want to take your time to explore the falls and take in more activities, you should plan to spend around 4-6 hours on the Argentine side and 2-3 hours on the Brazilian side. This would include taking a boat ride to the base of the falls, seeing the Devil's Throat, and visiting the Itaipu Dam on the Argentine side, and taking the panoramic train on the Brazilian side. A full-day visit: If you want to fully experience the falls and take in all the activities on offer, you should plan to spend a full day on the Argentine side and a half day on the Brazilian side. This would include taking a boat ride to the base of the falls, seeing the Devil's Throat, visiting the Itaipu Dam, and taking a Macuco Safari on the Argentine side, and taking the panoramic train, visiting the upper and lower circuit on the Brazilian side.
