The amount of time you need to visit each side of Iguazu Falls depends on the type of visit you want to have. A quick visit: If you're looking to see the main highlights of the falls and only have a short time to spend, you can plan to spend around 2-3 hours on the Argentine side and 2-3 hours on the Brazilian side of the falls. A more in-depth visit: If you want to take your time to explore the falls and take in more activities, you should plan to spend around 4-6 hours on the Argentine side and 2-3 hours on the Brazilian side. This would include taking a boat ride to the base of the falls, seeing the Devil's Throat, and visiting the Itaipu Dam on the Argentine side, and taking the panoramic train on the Brazilian side. A full-day visit: If you want to fully experience the falls and take in all the activities on offer, you should plan to spend a full day on the Argentine side and a half day on the Brazilian side. This would include taking a boat ride to the base of the falls, seeing the Devil's Throat, visiting the Itaipu Dam, and taking a Macuco Safari on the Argentine side, and taking the panoramic train, visiting the upper and lower circuit on the Brazilian side. Keep in mind that visiting both sides of the falls requires crossing the border, and it could take some time depending on the immigration procedures.
