The national park to the west takes a morning or a full day depending on how much you walk, and the Beagle Channel navigation takes an afternoon. Those two are what everybody comes for and they fit in two days. Everything else here, and there is more than people expect, needs a third.
Tierra del Fuego National Park sits twelve kilometres from town, with the coastal path along the channel and the sign at Lapataia where Ruta 3 ends. Half a day if you drive it, a full one if you walk the Senda Costera.
Half a day or a whole one
The navigation out to the Les Eclaireurs lighthouse passes sea lion colonies and cormorant islands and turns back. Two and a half hours, and the weather decides whether it is glassy or a washing machine.
Take the seasickness pills
East along the channel to the estancia and the penguin island, or north up the chairlift to the Martial glacier above town. Both are the reason people wish they had booked one more night.
