Embark on a road trip adventure in Ushuaia, where the rugged landscapes and breathtaking vistas of the southernmost tip of the world await you. Journey along winding roads that traverse through the pristine wilderness of Tierra del Fuego, offering panoramic views of snow-capped mountains, dense forests, and the sparkling Beagle Channel.
The Ushuaia itineraries that spend time on the road rather than on the water, sorted by price. On this island the driving is short by definition.

Prices are per person, from, for the 2026 to 2027 season. Per day is a comparison aid, not how the trip is billed. Every itinerary is tailor-made and quoted individually.
The national road that starts in Buenos Aires finishes at Bahía Lapataia, half an hour west of Ushuaia, and there is no road further south anywhere. What that leaves is a small network with two useful directions out of town, which is why a road trip on Tierra del Fuego is measured in hours rather than days.
Tierra del Fuego National Park sits twelve kilometres from town, and the sign at Lapataia marking the end of Ruta 3 is the single most photographed object on the island. It is a half day, and it is the one everyone does.
Half a day, and unmissable
The gravel road out to Estancia Harberton runs along the channel for eighty odd kilometres, with the Isla Martillo crossing at the end of it. It is a full day and it is the one worth taking slowly.
A full day on gravel
The road to Tolhuin and Lago Fagnano climbs the only pass on the island, with the view back over the lakes that appears on every postcard of the interior. About a hundred kilometres, and it needs a longer itinerary to fit.
Only on longer trips
The colony at the end of the eastern road is at Ushuaia penguin tours, the same island on two wheels at Ushuaia motorcycle tours, and everything else at Ushuaia tours.
