Mendoza is the one Argentine region built for doing very little

Everywhere else in the country the good things happen early and outdoors. Here the day starts at ten, the vineyard is twenty minutes away, lunch takes three hours and the Andes are in front of you the whole time. For a couple who want the trip to feel like a holiday rather than an expedition, this is the answer and it is not close.

The hotels

Vineyard, and better than you expect

Small properties among the vines with the mountains behind, pools nobody else is in and kitchens that are worth the trip on their own. The money goes considerably further here than in Patagonia.

Where the budget stretches

The rhythm

Nothing before ten

One bodega in the morning, a long lunch with pairings, an afternoon that is deliberately empty. It is the only region in Argentina where an itinerary with two things in a day counts as busy.

Two things is a full day

Adding the mountains

One day, and it is enough

The Alta Montaña road to the Chilean border is a spectacular day out and it is the one active thing that belongs here. Doing it on the third day, after two slow ones, is the arrangement that works.

One day out of four

Mendoza Honeymoon Hoilday FAQ's

The best time for a honeymoon in Mendoza is during the spring (September to November) or autumn (March to May), when the weather is pleasant and the vineyards are either blooming or harvesting. These seasons offer beautiful scenery and comfortable temperatures for outdoor activities.

Mendoza offers several romantic activities, such as private wine tastings at sunset, couples' spa treatments using local vine-based products, romantic dinners amidst the vineyards, and hot air balloon rides offering breathtaking views of the wine country.

Yes, Mendoza is home to a variety of luxury accommodations, including boutique hotels, upscale lodges, and romantic B&Bs, many of which are situated in or near vineyards with stunning mountain views.

Mendoza is renowned for its cuisine, which pairs beautifully with its wines. You can expect to enjoy high-quality Argentine steaks, local specialties like empanadas, and a range of international dishes, all made with fresh, local ingredients.

Absolutely. Many wineries in Mendoza offer private tours, which can be a more intimate and detailed experience. These tours often include exclusive tastings, a behind-the-scenes look at the wine-making process, and sometimes even the chance to meet the winemakers.

What Your Mendoza Trip Includes

Every quote we send lists this in writing, trip by trip. As a rule, this is how a Mendoza package is built.

Included

In every package

Hotels selected and checked by our team; private transfers between airports, hotels and excursions; excursions with English-speaking local guides; tasting fees at the wineries listed in your itinerary, and park entrance fees where the route includes them; daily breakfast and the meals marked day by day; a local WhatsApp support line for the whole trip.

Not included

Said upfront

International flights to and from Argentina; travel insurance; meals not marked in the itinerary; personal expenses and gratuities; optional activities, which we price in writing beforehand. The Buenos Aires to Mendoza flight is quoted separately or included depending on the package, and your quote states which, with the amount, so the total is clear before you book.

If the mountain road closes, the day moves to the valley

The high Andes pass and the Aconcagua road close with snow in winter and after storms. When that happens we bring your Uco Valley or Luján de Cuyo day forward and keep the mountain for the next clear morning. Wherever the schedule allows, we rebook the highlight inside your trip at no extra cost.
