Iguazu Falls full moon tours offer a mesmerizing experience, uniquely different from daytime visits. These nocturnal excursions under the light of a full moon reveal the falls in a new light, accentuating their natural beauty and creating a magical atmosphere. The sound of the cascading water under the moonlit sky is both powerful and soothing. This exclusive tour, available only a few nights each month, includes guided walks along the falls, providing a rare opportunity to witness the lunar rainbow phenomenon, a truly unforgettable sight at one of the world’s most spectacular natural wonders.
Five stays at the falls that can be timed to the full moon, sorted by price. The night walk is an add-on to any of them; what these routes decide is how long you are there to catch it.

The park opens at night only around the full moon, and only for a handful of nights each month. It is not a tour you add on arrival: the dates decide the trip.
The park runs the night walk on the nights around each full moon, in three departures. Outside that window the park closes at dusk and there is no night access at all.
Check the moon before the flights
A guided walk along the upper circuit to the Garganta del Diablo, with the falls lit only by the moon. The colour goes out of the landscape and the sound takes over.
About two hours, on the Argentine side
A covered sky means no light, and the walk is called off. That is the argument for two nights at the falls rather than one, so a cancelled Friday can become a Saturday.
Refunded if the park cancels
Any of these routes can be timed to the moon. The two-day and three-day plans from the capital are at Iguazu from Buenos Aires, and the full picture at Iguazu Falls tours. Tell us your month and we will check the dates against the calendar.
The moon sets the dates, but the season sets what the rest of the trip is like. These two calendars have to be read together.
Mild air, water still high from the wet months, and the crowds of the Argentine holidays gone. These are the months we try to put a full moon in.
What we recommend
The biggest water and the most dramatic falls, at 30 to 32 °C with full humidity. The night walk is a relief from the heat, but the park is at its busiest.
Book the night walk far ahead
The driest months, which raises the odds that the moon is actually visible. The flow drops, so the falls are wide rather than thunderous.
Best chance of a clear night
Months in orange balance water, temperature and crowds. The moon dates move every month, so we check them against your window before anything is booked.

Every quote we send lists this in writing, trip by trip. As a rule, this is how an Iguazú package is built.
Hotels selected and checked by our team; private transfers between airports, hotels and excursions; excursions with English-speaking local guides; entrance fees to Iguazú National Park on the Argentine side, and on the Brazilian side where your itinerary includes it; daily breakfast and the meals marked day by day; a local WhatsApp support line for the whole trip.
International flights to and from Argentina; travel insurance; meals not marked in the itinerary; personal expenses and gratuities; optional activities, which we price in writing beforehand. The Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazú flight is quoted separately or included depending on the package, and your quote states which, with the amount, so the total is clear before you book.
Iguazú is at its most powerful after rain, and that same water can close the Devil's Throat walkway or the boat under the falls for a day. When it does, we move that section to another day inside your stay and use the lower circuit and the Brazilian panoramic side meanwhile. Wherever the schedule allows, we rebook the highlight inside your trip at no extra cost.
