There is no hill in the city, which makes it one of the easiest capitals in the world to work by bicycle or on foot. It also has almost three hundred kilometres of protected bike lanes and a river delta an hour away. The active version of this city is not a compromise on the cultural one; it is usually the better way to see the same places.
The bike lane network runs through Palermo, Recoleta and down to San Telmo, which covers most of what a visitor wants to see. A day on a bicycle covers three neighbourhoods that would otherwise be three separate afternoons.
Three neighbourhoods in a day
Tigre sits where the Paraná breaks into hundreds of channels, and the houses there are reached by boat because there are no roads. Kayaking or rowing through it is the closest thing to countryside within reach of the city.
Water instead of streets
A game at La Bombonera or the Monumental is unlike any sporting event in Europe, and it needs a guide who knows which fixtures visitors can attend safely and which they cannot. It is arranged around the calendar, not the other way round.
Depends on the fixture
The city in full is at Buenos Aires tours, the private version at small group Buenos Aires, and the cycling elsewhere at Argentina bike tours.

Every quote we send lists this in writing, trip by trip. As a rule, this is how a Buenos Aires package is built.
Hotels selected and checked by our team; private transfers between airports, hotels and excursions; excursions with English-speaking local guides; entrance fees to the museums, shows and tastings listed in your itinerary; daily breakfast and the meals marked day by day; a local WhatsApp support line for the whole trip.
International flights to and from Argentina; travel insurance; meals not marked in the itinerary; personal expenses and gratuities; optional activities, which we price in writing beforehand. Domestic flights on to other regions are quoted separately or included depending on the package, and your quote states which, with the amount, so the total is clear before you book.
The city works in any weather, and that is the advantage of starting here. If a storm closes the delta boat at Tigre or an open air walk, we move to the indoor half of your itinerary the same day: Teatro Colón, MALBA, a tango hall with dinner or a Palermo tasting. Wherever the schedule allows, we rebook the highlight inside your trip at no extra cost.
