Prices are per person, from, for the 2026 to 2027 season. Per day is a comparison aid, not how the trip is billed. Every itinerary is tailor-made and quoted individually.
Three days keeps you in El Calafate. Four lets you drive north for a night, walk to Laguna Torre or the Fitz Roy viewpoint in the morning and come back the following afternoon. It is the difference between seeing the mountain from a car park and standing under it, and it is the single best use of a fourth day here.
If you would rather not pack twice, four days in El Calafate covers the glacier, the boat north, the ice walk and a day on the steppe without repeating anything. It is a slower, easier trip and plenty of people prefer it.
No second hotel
The boat north reaches faces with no road to them, and the scale is larger than Perito Moreno even if the theatre is smaller. On a four-day trip there is room for both the balconies and the boat.
Two very different days
Fitz Roy is clouded in more often than not and the boat cancels in wind. A fourth day is the one that lets the itinerary absorb a bad morning without losing anything, which in Patagonia is worth more than an extra sight.

The shorter stay is at 3 days in El Calafate, the village north at 3 days in El Chaltén, and the ice walks at glacier hikes.

Domestic flights inside Patagonia are quoted separately or included depending on the package, and your quote states which, with the amount, so the total is clear before you book.

Every key day has a same-region backup: if the wind closes the glacier boat, you see Perito Moreno from the walkways instead; if the Fitz Roy viewpoint is in cloud, we swap days inside your itinerary.
