Aeroparque to Puerto Iguazú is under two hours in the air, and the first flight of the morning gets you into the park before eleven. It is genuinely doable. What it is not is relaxed: you land, you walk five hours in the heat, and you are back at the airport before the light turns. One night changes that entirely.
Early flight, the Argentine side only, late flight home. You will see the Devil s Throat and the circuits and you will not see the Brazilian side, the boat or the forest. For a short Argentina trip it is still worth doing.
Argentine side only
The park opens at eight and the coaches from town arrive at ten. Staying in Puerto Iguazú puts you on the walkways in those two hours, which is when the catwalks are empty and the light is on the water.
Two quiet hours
A private departure means your own vehicle and guide and your own timing inside the park. The park itself is identical either way, so this is a comfort decision rather than an access one.
