Tango & Folklore

Tango has always been identified with city music, while folklore with rural music, although we can say that both are intimately linked. Tango is a musical style that was born from the fusion between African culture and the local cultures of the gauchos and native peoples, as well as the contribution of European and Middle Eastern immigrants. Currently declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, tango is a cultural phenomenon that transcends borders. In the maritime coastal areas of the south there is a great variety of fish and mammals such as penguins, walruses and the impressive Southern Right Whale, which can be observed every year.
