Explore Ushuaia’s stunning landscapes with a 4×4 adventure, canoeing on Lake Escondido, and a visit to Harberton Ranch, where you’ll encounter penguins and a hidden waterfall. This trip combines nature, history, and one-of-a-kind experiences at the world’s end.
Upon your arrival at Tierra del Fuego airport, our guide will accompany you to the hotel in this new city. Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the continent, is located on the banks of the Beagle Channel.
Overnight in Ushuaia: Patagonia Jarke, Wyndham Garden Ushuaia, Los Cauquenes Ushuaia Resort & SPA (or similar).

We began our exciting excursion heading north of the island along National Route 3, passing through the renowned Cerro Castor ski resort. Once we crossed the majestic Andes, we plunged into the authentic 4×4 adventure. We faced challenging mud and water paths until we reached the impressive shore of Lake Fagnano. At this time, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the exceptional beauty of this place and its unique energy.
After this experience, we ventured even more to blaze new trails and add a touch of adrenaline to our trip. We went into the woods to explore an exclusive area without trails, finally arriving at Lake Escondido, where our refuge is located. At this point, our team will be waiting for you with an authentic Argentinian roast, accompanied by an exquisite Malbec wine. To conclude our day, we split up in pairs and prepared to explore the lake with top quality canoes and specialized equipment.
It is important to note that the order of activities could be modified for operational reasons or weather conditions. In addition, canoe sailing may eventually be suspended for safety reasons, and alternative activities are not foreseen in case of cancellation.

We started our day in the morning, taking National Route 3 until we reached the junction with Route “J”. At this point, we head towards the coast, following the course of the Lasifashaj River valley, almost to its mouth in the Beagle Channel, in Brown Bay. Upon arrival at the Harberton Ranch, we are greeted with warmth. We explore the property, immersing ourselves in its rich history and its activity related to wool production
Afterwards, we embarked on a Zodiac boat to visit a vast colony of Magellanic and Gentoo penguins. We move with respect and without disturbing these enchanting seabirds, while learning about their lives and conservation strategies. Back at the ranch, we headed to Cambaceres Bay to enjoy lunch. Then, we take a walk along the coast of the Lasifashaj River until we reach an energetic waterfall, formed by the narrowing of the river valley.
It includes Pinguinera crossing and admission to Harberton.
This tour may vary; subject to the availability of a cruise to Pinguinera.
