Chubut

Chubut, the land of wind and whales in Argentine Patagonia. It lies on the vast plains between the Andes Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean.
One of the most important places to visit in Chubut is the Valdes Peninsula, considered one of the most beautiful places in the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There, you can enjoy whale watching, sea lions, penguins and a great variety of birds. It is also advisable to visit the city of Trelew, famous for its museums and Welsh culture, and the city of Esquel, where you can practice winter sports and observe nature in its purest form.
If you are a nature lover, we recommend a boat trip to see whales and marine animals in their natural habitat. If you prefer adventure, you can’t miss the opportunity to go hiking, rafting, skiing or even paragliding. Chubut also has many protected natural areas that you can explore on foot or by bicycle.

It is located at the foot of the Andes mountain range. It is a place that offers an impressive landscape of mountains, crystalline rivers and green meadows.
This city is known for being the southernmost stop of the steam train “La Trochita”, the old Patagonian express that has been in operation since 1945 and was declared a National Historic Monument.
Among the most important places to visit in Esquel are Los Alerces National Park, a protected area and UNESCO World Heritage Site with its impressive forest of ancient larch trees. Especially the Alerzal Milenario, which is as tall as the Obelisk in Buenos Aires and as old as the Greek pantheon.
