Itinerary

<span>Day 1</span>La Rioja-Villa Unión: Moon Valley (Half Day)

Upon arrival at La Rioja airport, we will provide transportation to the Ischigualasto National Park in San Juan. This service is shared and is available for flights arriving until 11:00 a.m. If you arrive after this time, we will offer you a private service.

The Ischigualasto National Park, also known as Moon Valley, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here you can explore unique landscapes and fascinating geological formations that date back millions of years. Among the activities you can take are guided tours to discover fossils and learn about the evolution of life on Earth, as well as enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the desert and its distinctive features. At the end, we will transfer you to Villa Unión for the night.

Overnight in Villa Unión: Pircas Negras Hotel, Hotel Boutique Cañon de Talampaya, Tres Cruces Lodge (or similar).

<span>Day 2</span>Villa Unión: Talampaya National Park (Full Day).

The trip to Talampaya National Park offers a fascinating experience in the province of La Rioja. This park is famous for its arid landscape and impressive rock formations.

During the visit, you can explore deep canyons, vertical walls and ancient petroglyphs that reveal the region's ancient history. In addition, it is a site recognized for its paleontological importance, with fossils dating back millions of years.

A guided tour provides an in-depth understanding of Talampaya's unique geology and biodiversity. We will also visit The Triassic Canyon, a geological wonder located in the Moon Valley, in the province of San Juan, to see the stars.

A night trip to the Triassic Canyon offers a unique stargazing experience in an exceptional natural environment. Located in the Ischigualasto National Park, this canyon is famous for its geological formations from the Triassic period, which date back approximately 250 million years ago. During the night tour, visitors have the opportunity to enjoy clear and dark skies, ideal for astronomical observation.

<span>Day 3</span>Villa Unión: Laguna Brava (Full Day).

Impressive place on the roof of America, 4400 meters above sea level surrounded by the highest volcanoes in the world Pissis (6882 meters), Veladero (6524 meters), Bonete Chico (6769 meters), etc. Declared by UNESCO as a RAMSAR Site and together with the “San Guillermo National Park”, in San Juan, one of the 10 largest biosphere reserves in the world.

Unimaginable colorful landscapes, in direct contact with the local fauna, guanacos, vicunas, foxes, condors, etc. in spring and summer accompanied by migratory birds such as pink flamingos, piquenes, parinas gr. and chicks, Pisacas, Andean gulls, etc.

Places that will surprise us, such as the mountain shelters built during the years 1862-1874, some time after the crossing of the Andean army through this area. We will see traces of pre-dinosaurs and primitive mammals directly in the rock, in a place with a unique and particular morphology such as the pre-mountain range in the “Quebrada de la Troya”. We will be able to relive immemorial times at the “Estrellas Diaguitas” in Vinchina on a day that we guarantee will be unforgettable.

<span>Day 4</span>4 Villa Unión - Cuesta de Miranda (Half Day).

The Cuesta de Miranda is an impressive mountain route that crosses the province of La Rioja, Argentina. This serpentine, scenic road offers spectacular, panoramic views of the region's arid and mountainous landscapes.

Along the route, you can see unique rock formations and natural colors that change with daylight, creating an unforgettable visual spectacle. The Cuesta de Miranda is known for its sharp curves and its gradual ascent through the mountains, making it an exciting challenge for drivers and an exciting experience for nature and adventure lovers.

In addition to its scenic beauty, the road is surrounded by native flora and fauna, providing opportunities to spot birds and other wildlife. It ends at La Rioja Airport (See flight schedule). Duration: 5hrs
