Discover the heart of Argentina on this 20-day journey that takes you from the vibrant neighborhoods of Buenos Aires to the majestic glaciers of Patagonia and the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls. Immerse yourself in the culture, nature, and gastronomy of this unique country.
We will explore the countryside of Buenos Aires and learn all about the gauchos and ranch life on the Pampas during an exciting full-day tour. This experience will include visits to a historical rural town and a silversmith museum, a visit to a ranch, plenty of food and wine, dancing, horseback riding, and a gaucho horse skills display.
Travelers will dive into a completely different world on the way to San Antonio de Areco, a small town dating back to 1730, known as “the cradle of culture and tradition” in Argentina.
Upon arrival in Areco, we will visit the Draghi museum, a family-run establishment showcasing some of the best silversmiths in the world. Afterward, we will head to El Ombú ranch, where we will be warmly greeted by the gauchos and served welcome drinks along with some of the best 'empanadas' (local pasties) you will ever taste. We strongly recommend coming hungry, as lunch will feature a real Argentinean meat feast, with the national dish: asado.
To wrap up this wonderful and authentic Argentine experience, one of the gauchos will treat us to a demonstration of how he tames his horse, showcasing the deep confidence and connection they share in an unconventional horse whispering performance.
In this exciting and fun-filled half-day tour, we will embark on an epic adventure in a small group of no more than 12 guests, offering the perfect balance of nature and history.
After hotel pick-up, we will cruise the widest river in the world, the "Río de la Plata," enjoying spectacular views of the Buenos Aires skyline from the water. After an hour of navigation, we will arrive at the Paraná River Delta, a magical place that truly feels like a fantasy land. Once in the Delta, the boat ride will continue through narrow channels and islands, a popular weekend getaway for the residents of Buenos Aires, or “Porteños.”
At lunchtime, we will stop in Tigre, a major city in Buenos Aires' suburbs, where we will enjoy an authentic snack, including "empanadas" (local pasties) and drinks, at a beautiful historical venue belonging to the Italian Rowing Club of Tigre City.
For the rest of the tour, we will board a comfortable vehicle to drive through the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires, offering a glimpse of life in the outskirts of Argentina’s capital. Along the ride, we will visit several sites, including the Fruit’s Market, a local bazaar where you can shop for home goods and find some great, authentic souvenirs.
At the end of the tour, we will return to Buenos Aires, where you will have the option to stay somewhere along the way to continue exploring this fascinating city or be driven back to your hotel.
