Itinerary

Day 1El Calafate

Arrival at the airport or bus terminal. Upon arrival our guide will meet you at the airport and you will be escorted to the hotel of your choice. This afternoon is free for activities on your own. Among the places to visit, we recommend you to visit the Historical Interpretation Centre of El Calafate, have a coffee or a snack by the Nímez Bay and enjoy the views over the Argentino Lake.

Day 2El Calafate

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning excursion to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier. Throughout the day in Los Glaciares National Park, you will have the best panoramic views of the Glacier walking the walkways of La Costa, El Bosque, Inferior and Medio walkways. (We recommend as an optional short navigation on the Argentino Lake and if you are an active traveler, to change this excursion for a trekking on the Glacier). Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 3El Calafate to El Chaltén

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning you will take a bus from El Calafate to El Chaltén for approximately 4 hours. El Chaltén is a small and very picturesque town, located in the Andes Mountains, at the foot of the mountain and just a few steps away from the entrance to the trails for some of the best hiking circuits in the country. In the afternoon we recommend visiting the Chorrillo del Salto and enjoying a craft beer in the town's bars, where the atmosphere and the energy generated by the climbers is simply magical.

Day 4El Chaltén

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the National Capital of Trekking. We recommend you to start your trip by visiting the base of Fitz Roy. At the end of the village begins the path where this beautiful hike starts. It is a trekking of eight hours of medium difficulty, since depending on the physical condition of each one, the ideal is to arrive at Laguna de los Tres, from which you will have the best view of the Fitz Roy Hill. The trail offers intermediate scenic points, and there are short options for those who don't want to walk that far. If you want to get to Laguna de los Tres, you should keep in mind that the last hour of the ascent will be a bit more demanding, but with patience and time you will enjoy it a lot.

Day 5El Chaltén to El Calafate

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to continue enjoying El Chalten and its beautiful landscapes and scenery. For this day we recommend the hike to Cerro Torre, which lasts 6 to 7 hours and can also be done on your own. This trail is of low difficulty and unlike the previous one, it goes along the Fitz Roy River until you reach the Torre Lagoon, from where you will have a breathtaking view of the Cerro Torre. In the afternoon, you will take the bus back to El Calafate to continue your trip in Patagonia.

Day 6El Calafate

This day is free for optional activities such as returning to see the glacier or enjoying the surroundings. At the agreed time you will be taken to the airport or bus terminal to continue your trip. Remember that you can extend your stay in each destination and add or remove services according to your tastes so that we can put together the best itinerary for you.

Amazing Trekking and Glacier Views

The best part of the trip was the trekking routes around El Chaltén. Hiking to Cerro Torre and Laguna de los Tres gave us some of the best views of Patagonia! The glacier tour in El Calafate was also great, but I wish we had more time for additional activities like the boat ride on the lake. Overall, it was an unforgettable adventure with breathtaking scenery and great service.
