We will begin our experience from the hotel to explore the diverse charms of Santiago. We will observe the contrasts between the historic center of the city and the modern buildings of the Eastern sector, discovering the places preferred by both tourists and locals.
Our first stop will be at the emblematic Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins Avenue, also known as Alameda, where we will marvel at the Presidential Palace of La Moneda, an imposing neoclassical building that houses a fundamental part of Chilean history.
We will continue our panoramic tour along the picturesque pedestrian promenades in the center, passing through the Plaza de Armas, a strategic point from where the first plans of the city were drawn. Around it, we will appreciate several historic buildings, including the majestic Cathedral Church, the imposing Central Post Office and the elegant City Hall of Santiago.
Then, we will ascend to Cerro Santa Lucía, an architectural and historical site of great beauty that played a crucial role in the founding of the city, and which remains a popular destination among the people of Santiago.
Later, we will head to other local recreational areas, such as the Forest Park, the Museum of Fine Arts and the vibrant Lastarria neighborhood. We will cross the Mapocho River to reach the lively Bellavista neighborhood, known for its intense cultural and artistic activity, as well as for being one of the favorite nightlife destinations in the capital.
We will conclude our exploration by entering the new center of the city, visiting Providencia and the communes of Las Condes and Vitacura, where we will enjoy spaces such as the Bicentennial Park, one of the city's new icons. At the end of our immersion in the eastern part of Santiago, a symbol of growth and modernity, we will return to the hotel.
Afternoon program
We will start our experience from your hotel and head to the Maipo Valley, whose Mediterranean climate gives it privileged conditions for the production of extraordinary wines. We will visit one of the most traditional vineyards in Chile, Viña Undurraga, which was the first to export its wines and thus paved the path that has led Chilean wine to be recognized as one of the best in the world; today dozens of countries receive and enjoy the excellent products of Viña Undurraga.
We will start in the Aroma Room to expand our senses and then we will visit Undurraga Park, created by the French landscape designer George Henry Dubois, who also designed the Santiago Forest Park, one of the landmarks of this city.
We will continue to Rincón Aliwén, a place where part of the vegetation typical of southern Chile is recreated and where our main original people, the Mapuches, are honored, exhibiting figures of their culture and publicizing their worldview. We will tour the vineyards and get to know the terroir of the valley through a Calicata, identifying the different vines that Undurraga cultivates through a variety garden and we will see the vinification process of the different products.
We will access the centuries-old underground cellars and we will be able to appreciate the Gente de la Tierra collection, an exhibition of Mapuche and pre-Columbian life and art in honor of our original peoples. We will conclude with a tasting of three reserve wines, receiving our glass as a souvenir and then returning to the hotel in Santiago.
