A five-day exploration of Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, blending outdoor adventures like sea kayaking in the Beagle Channel with cultural experiences, including a traditional cooking session led by the only female captain of the channel.
Upon your arrival at Tierra del Fuego airport, our guide will accompany you to the hotel in this new city. Ushuaia, the southernmost city on the continent, is located on the banks of the Beagle Channel.
Overnight in Ushuaia: Patagonia Jarke, Garden Whyndam, Los Cauquenes Ushuaia Resort & SPA.
Meals Included: none.
Among the destinations for sea kayaking in the Beagle Channel, the East offers a sense of freedom and distance from civilization that takes us back to the time when the Yamana inhabited this remote part of the planet.
We leave at 8:00 AM, and after 70 km of travel to Bahía Brown, the chosen place to begin our adventure in kayak, we will have gone through the primordial forest along the route J. Bahia Brown has an incredibly beautiful landscape and also has a famous group of "flag" trees. After kitting out the double sea kayaks, it's time to enjoy the most beautiful beaches and remote bays along the Beagle Channel.
After kayaking for about 2 hours, and once we arrive at the uninhabited Gable Island, the largest of the Beagle Channel, we will find our refuge, a picturesque construction that we have restored without altering its past. There we will relax while enjoying a delicious hot meal. After lunch, we will take a walk on the island, and we will have the opportunity to kayak once more before dinner.
When the night comes, and after a very active day, we will sleep in the middle of the Beagle Channel, "off the grid" and camping under the southern stars.
Overnight in Ushuaia.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch Dinner.
During the second day, after breakfast, we will make the most of a full day kayaking in this vast, wild and tranquil area. To really enjoy two very exciting days, we put at your disposal all the necessary equipment and security, and specialized, bilingual guides (Spanish-English).
*Between November and April the hours vary according to the duration of the days.

We depart from Ushuaia heading north until we reach the detour of the provincial road “J”, which will take us back to the Beagle Channel. We stop at Laguna Victoria for refreshments. Once in Brown Bay, we will take a detour to see the famous flag trees, a peculiarity created by the area's southwestern winds.
After spending some time in this place, we will return to the vehicle and head to Puerto Almanza, the main port for artisanal fishermen, where they are mainly dedicated to catching crab.
Passing Puerto Almanza, a few kilometers away, we will arrive at the house of one of the most renowned fisherwomen in the area, not only for her activity and trajectory, but also because she is the only captain of the Beagle Channel (Diana). She awaits us at her home to guide us step by step in preparing and tasting the dishes of the surprising Beagle Channel, providing us with an unforgettable gastronomic and social experience.
