We will leave the hotel after breakfast to explore some of the most famous landmarks of Rio de Janeiro, where we will admire the city’s natural beauty from above. Our journey will begin with a taxi ride alongside our “buddy” guide to the world-renowned Sugar Loaf Mountain, located in the middle of Guanabara Bay. We will take the aerial cable car to the top of the mountain and enjoy one of the most breathtaking views of Rio.
Once we descend, our guide will take us to Bar Urca, a 5-minute taxi ride from Sugar Loaf, in the charming neighborhood of Urca. This typical Carioca bar and restaurant is a favorite among locals. While the upper floor can be busy on weekends, it is well worth a visit to savor a cold beer, try some delicious snacks, and soak in the magnificent scenery. Lunch will be paid individually.
After lunch, we will take a taxi from Urca to Cosme Velho, where we will board a comfortable train to ascend Corcovado Mountain. At the summit, located 2,300 feet above sea level, we will find the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. Panoramic elevators and escalators will take us to the statue’s base, where we can enjoy sweeping views of Rio and understand why it is called the Marvelous City, with Christ the Redeemer as its crowning wonder.
After descending, we will stop at Paineiras, located on the road leading to Corcovado Mountain. This serene spot offers unrivaled views and peaceful moments, including the chance to visit one of the area's refreshing waterfalls after a day of exploring.
Finally, we will return to the hotel by bus or metro.
Duration: Approximately 8 hours.
Includes: Guide, tickets to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf, and public transportation (Uber).

At 1021 m, Tijuca Peak is the highest point in the Tijuca National Park and the second highest mountain in Rio de Janeiro.
We'll leave the hotel and head to the start of the walk, stopping along the way at Vista Chinesa (an old Chinese viewpoint) to admire the views and take some photos. The walk will take us through the lush Atlantic Forest, environmentally protected due to its rich diversity of plant and animal life.
Most of the route is moderate and very shady, until reaching the final stretch, steeper and less sheltered by trees. In the end we will arrive at a staircase of 117 steps that was carved in the gneiss rock in 1920 for the visit of King Albert of Belgium. Upon reaching the top, we will be rewarded with incredible views of the North, West and South areas of Rio de Janeiro.
