Corrientes

It is a province full of magic and charm in the north of Argentina.
First of all, you can’t miss Iberá National Park, one of the most impressive places in South America, home to a great variety of animal and plant species. If you love nature and photography, this place is ideal for you. You can also go on boat rides on its rivers, enjoying the beauty of the landscape.
Another site not to be missed is the Official Theatre Juan de Vera, a true architectural treasure of the 19th century that has been restored for your enjoyment. There, you can enjoy plays, concerts and cultural events.

About Corrientes

If you are interested in history, you cannot miss the Museo de Arqueología e Historia ex Casa Martínez, which has a wide collection of artefacts and ancient pieces that will transport you to another era.
For the more adventurous, Corrientes offers activities such as sport fishing in the Paraná River, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the river while fishing for some of the local species.
The best mobility option is to rent a vehicle or join one of the excursions organised by local agencies. There are also public transport options, although it can be more complicated to get to some of the more remote places. Argentina Pura can provide you with a private car.
The gastronomy in Corrientes is a unique experience. Try the traditional “sopa correntina”, made with corn flour, cheese, egg, milk, onion, chopped chicken. Also enjoy the “locro”, a corn and meat stew which is the typical dish of the region.
