Day 3Valparaíso

We will start our CL Mundo Experience from your hotel in Valparaiso to go to the starting point, Plaza de La Victoria, located in front of the Santiago Severin library, the naval club and the Cathedral of Valparaiso, where the Edwards Palace once stood, destroyed in an earthquake in 1906.

From there, we will take a local trolley, a true walking monument, to Aníbal Pinto Square, one of the hearts of the city, where we will walk together to take the Reina Victoria elevator, one of the oldest and best restored. Our stop there will be one of the first views we will have of the city, just a few steps from the Dimalow passage, where we will see the silhouette of a Lutheran church on a hill of Mount Concepcion. As we walk we will pass through such typical places as the restaurant “Breakfast”, the Anglican church, symbol of the 19th century British community, and many more...

From above we can contemplate the topography of the Valparaiso hills, as well as the narrow passages that are woven between the hills. The next important stopping point is the Atkinson Walk, where we will be amazed by the colors of houses, restaurants, schools and everything that can be seen around. From here we can also see graffiti dedicated to Pablo Neruda, for example.

We will return to Papudo Street, to reach another emblematic passage, the Gervasoni. An icon of the city. From that point, we will take the oldest elevator in the city, dating back to 1883, which takes us to the busiest area of the city, Prat Street, and continue all the way to the main square of Valparaiso: Plaza Sotomayor. The first thing we can see once there is the naval building in Valparaiso, the Hotel Victoria, the Faculty of Arts and Culture, and the Germania bomb, headquarters of the Valparaiso fire brigade and the entrance to the port. But perhaps most importantly, it is the monument to the heroes of Iquique's naval combat. Finally, we will head to the Yugoslav Promenade. Place where we will arrive walking from Sotomayor Square, after taking the El Peral elevator.

Overnight in Valparaíso.

Meals Included: Breakfast.
