At the indicated time, our driver will pick you up at the selected hotel to take you to the starting point of the Laguna de Los Tres trekking (Private service-driver only).

We vertrekken vroeg in de ochtend vanuit El Calafate naar een klein bergstadje, beroemd als de trekkinghoofdstad van Argentinië. We rijden van El Chaltén naar het Poicenot-kamp (4 uur) en steken de Witte Rivier over. Vanaf hier gaat het pad verder met een stijgende helling van ongeveer 400 meter met oneffenheden naar de Laguna de los Tres. Het pad eindigt op de oude helling van de gletsjermorene, met een buitengewoon uitzicht op het meer en de gletsjer De Los Tres. Dit is het dichtstbijzijnde uitzicht op de granieten wand van Mount Fitz Roy en zijn perifere spitsen. Als je de morene afdaalt, kun je verdergaan langs een pad dat de lagune omringt tot aan de monding, waar je de verlaten lagune Sucia en de hangende gletsjers kunt zien. Aan het einde van de dag keerden we terug naar El Calafate.

Free day to continue enjoying El Chaltén and its beautiful landscapes. For this day we recommend the hike to Cerro Torre, which lasts 6 to 7 hours and can also be done on your own. This trail is of low difficulty and unlike the previous one, it runs along the Fitz Roy River until it reaches Laguna Torre, from where you have an impressive view of Cerro Torre.

Our rustic-luxe eco lodge is situated in a serene natural setting, away from urban noise, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. AGUAS ARRIBA LODGE spans 1400 acres of forest and mountains dedicated to environmental conservation. Guests can explore pristine nature through hiking and other outdoor activities.

Access to the lodge is exclusive, either by boat or a guided three-hour trek. With 900 meters of private lakefront, guests can indulge in activities like Fly Fishing or simply unwind by the lakeshore, enjoying breathtaking views.

Upon arrival at Lago del Desierto, guests are greeted with our waiting boat. The lodge is accessible via a 15-minute boat ride or a scenic three-hour forest hike.

Our culinary offerings feature an exquisite menu of fresh, natural, and homemade dishes of exceptional quality. We take pride in offering personalized attention, catering to guests' dietary preferences and restrictions with care under the guidance of our skilled chef.

Lunch and dinner, are served in the dining room with amazing views or on the deck weather permitting. Fresh salads, argentine meat, trout from the lake, homemade pasta and risotto, fresh salmon, vegetarian and vegan dishes, and the best desserts with a good Patagonic wine to end the day.

Guests are welcome to enjoy the Lodges facilities until 12.00 PM. Latest boat departure time from the lodge to Punta Sur on check out date is at 12.00 PM. • Given the remote location, if taking a fight on the check out date, its departure time in November and March should be from 03.00 PM and in December, January and February from 01.00 PM. The boat navigates with daylight only.
